Built by hand, one hive at a time.
A Rustenburg beekeeping business protecting pollinators through ethical bee removal, sustainable beekeeping and education.

Out in the field at sunset.
Welcome to Brother Bee ZA.
What started as a simple curiosity about bees slowly grew into a passion and ultimately became a purpose-driven business. My journey into beekeeping began years ago through hands-on exposure in the commercial field, where I learned directly on the job and gained practical experience working with bees in real environments.
As my understanding grew, I committed myself to further education through courses, research and continuous learning. Through this process, I realised the important role bees play in agriculture, biodiversity, food security and environmental sustainability.
Brother Bee ZA was founded from the desire to take initiative within the industry and make a meaningful difference through ethical bee removals, sustainable beekeeping, community education and environmentally responsible practices.
Building this business has required dedication, adaptability and persistence. From managing field operations and hive placements to handling branding, administration, client communication and physical labour, every aspect of the business has been developed through hands-on commitment and a genuine passion for the work.
Founder, Brother Bee ZA
Our vision
To become a leading sustainable beekeeping enterprise in South Africa, promoting environmental stewardship, ethical bee relocation and premium honey production.
Our mission
- Safely remove and relocate bee colonies without harm
- Produce and supply high-quality, raw, natural honey
- Educate communities on the importance of bees and biodiversity
- Operate in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner
Three things, done properly.
Bee removal and relocation
- Safe, humane removal from residential, commercial and industrial sites
- Relocation to managed apiaries for conservation and honey production
- Education during removals, to reduce fear of bees
Honey production and sales
- Raw, unprocessed honey from diverse floral sources
- Natural variation in colour and taste (wildflowers, macadamia, bluegum)
- Small-batch production for quality and traceability
Apiary management
- Hives placed in environmentally suitable locations
- Colony health and productivity monitored
- Ethical practices aligned with sustainability
Our recycling initiative
We believe our environmental responsibility extends beyond bees. Around our bee-removal jobs, and at our apiary sites, we collect waste and recyclables and make sure they are disposed of properly.
- Cans collected during or around our jobs, where appropriate
- Recyclable wood and other materials collected and recycled
- Waste from apiary sites and removal locations disposed of responsibly
- Hives placed in areas that support ecological balance

Sorting recyclables collected around our work.
Doing things properly.

Growing responsibly.
We aim to expand into agricultural pollination services, grow the number of managed hives and land placements, invest in dedicated vehicles and equipment, and add products such as beeswax products and mead, hiring and training people as the business grows.
We welcome partnerships, sponsorship and collaboration with landowners, farms, conservation organisations and youth development and skills-training initiatives.
